Potters

This is an ongoing personal project of mine to photograph potters, their work and their studios. Pottery is a very ancient craft, older than written history. Modern times have witnessed exponential growth in terms of human technology and science. As many young people choose not to pursue the path of learning and eventually mastering traditional skills, cultures change. There is something strangely beautiful about this, and somewhat sad. I want to thank the artists who let me photograph them; Kwak Kyung Tae, Kim Hee Gun, Shin Chul, Moon Byung Sik, Kim Song Tae, Douglas Black, and Adam Field and the others who’s names I don’t know but still graciously lent me their time.
